SUNIL NAIR
Chief Executive Officer, Firework India
Sunil Nair is the Chief Executive Officer of Firework India. Firework is a social video network that uses 30 second videos to tell imaginative stories across various genres. In the past he has had a very successful stint as the Chief Operating Officer of AltBalaji for over 4 years, where he was responsible for building India’s first pure-play original video content platform and creating a successful subscription led business and bringing real world innovations to the OTT space in India. Nair set up the first online video distribution platform – Nautanki TV (acquired by Hungama). In his previous stints he has held leadership positions with One Channel Media, Reliance Jio, Star India Pvt Ltd, amongst others. Nair continues to be active in the start-up circle as an advisor and mentor. With a Master’s Degree in Management Sciences from the University of Pune, Sunil is a certified systems analyst from National Computing Centre, UK. Sunil is an avid storyteller and has several publishing credits that includes a series of Children’s books called Adventures of Taarakshi and Kaa and The Runaway Dosa.
